Why Defense Matters
Every night, your garden is vulnerable to thieves. A strong defense setup is the difference between waking up to a full garden and finding your rarest crops gone. Defense is a long-term investment that pays off every single night phase.
Defense Plants
- Venus Flytrap (Mythic, 7,000,000G) — The most powerful defense plant. Eats intruding players on contact
- Dragon's Breath (Super, Robux-only) — Fires projectiles at thieves and doubles as a harvestable crop
- Place defense plants at garden entrances for maximum coverage
- Defense plants are permanent once placed
Defender Pets
- Bee (Legendary) — Stings thieves, slowing them down
- Black Dragon (Super) — The ultimate defender. Patrols your garden and attacks multiple intruders
- Defender pets are permanent and provide 24/7 protection

Defense Crates
- Bear Trap (Legendary) — Slows or traps thieves
- Fence (Legendary) — Creates barriers requiring consumables to bypass
- Owner Door (Legendary) — Only you can enter

Layered Defense Strategy
The best defense combines all three layers: defense plants at entrances, defender pets patrolling, and crates creating choke points. A well-defended garden deters most casual thieves. High-value crops should always be in the most protected area. Use the crop value calculator to prioritize which crops are worth defending most.
Active Defense
If you're online during the night, you can actively defend by checking your garden periodically. The stock tracker can alert you to restocks while you patrol. Guild members can also help defend each other's gardens.
